We are so thrilled to announce that we were chosen best in show, Best Culinary Sample of the 2013 Tour of Kitchens! We were in competition with some of Buffalo/Niagara's premiere chefs and came out on top! Thank you for your votes!
We had such a blast at the Tour of Kitchens this weekend! Our soup and salad were big hits. It was a pleasure to see so many friends and meet so many new ones. Thanks Sandy Hays-Mies and Hannah Hays for putting together a class event! And, thanks to Linda Adamson from Le Creuset for the use of that fabulous cookware.

Lunch is a big hit and is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at the tea shop, from 11 AM to 4 PM. (In addition to our High Tea Luncheon service) .

Overwhelming requests for the recipe for the soup we are serving at the Tour of Kitchens!!! Here it is, enjoy!
Linda's Mushroom Soup
Cream of Mushroom Soup Receipe
2 large onions
3 lbs sliced mushrooms
2 sticks of butter
2 cups flour
3 tbs chicken base
Salt
Pepper
1 pint heavy cream
1 gallon whole milk
Directions: Saute onions in half the butter, add chicken base, then add
mushrooms cook down a little.
Meanwhile in a separate kettle use other half of butter, then add flour
Slowly add milk and heavy cream.
Then add onion,mushroom mixture, sherry to taste, and season to taste.

The Artisan's on the Lawn will be returning this weekend from 11 AM to 4 PM Saturday and 10 AM to 4 PM Sunday. Jewelry, Flavored oils and vinegars and antiques/vintage items! Stop by with Dad for brunch on Sunday!!!
